Harvard TECH City Convening: Leveraging Innovation and Collaboration in Financial Assistance to Help Communities in Need
Jul 23, 2020
Join Dr. David Ricketts, Innovation Fellow at Harvard TECH on Thursday, July 23rd at 11am ET for a digital convening in collaboration with City Possible, powered by Mastercard.
In the wake of COVID-19, communities struggled to identify the most secure way to get people the help they needed and fast, but traditional fund collection and disbursement infrastructure was not equipped to quickly and securely reach people and businesses in need. In times of crisis, federal assistance can be slow, and can exclude too many residents. Governments need a solution that would facilitate their ability to raise and distribute aid directly to their communities in a secure and inclusive manner.
During this convening, which is exclusively for city leaders and public officials, we will focus how cities can leverage innovation and collaboration in financial assistance to help communities in need. Dr. Ricketts will lead the discussion and we’ll hear from practitioners at Mastercard, Accelerator for America, and the State of Rhode Island about how to implement a highly flexible financial assistance model that can be tailored to meet your communities unique requirements and challenges. Panelists will provide actionable guidance on how to establish a similar assistance program, track the impact, and modify solutions to fit your needs.
Because this digital convening is exclusively for city leaders and public officials, you must register to attend. Click HERE to register now or use the button below.
